In August 2023 Donna and I decided we would do a “watch Fall, fall” tour. Our thoughts were to start at Yellowstone and follow Fall down the Continental Divide.
We hustled out of Santa Monica on a Saturday at 1430. We then drove for 9+ hours to land in Mesquite, NV (450 Miles).

Mesquite, Nevada

We stayed at Sun Resorts RV Park, we pulled in around 0100, grabbed a few hours of sleep and got back on the road at 0930.
We were headed toward Provo and stopped at Kolob National Park and The Creamery

Beaver Utah

both locations had RV parking and were easy to access. When we arrived at The Creamery we needed food and a sensory change. Lunch was decent, much dairy products, Mac and Cheese, Grilled Cheese with Bacon, I wanted to take a nap, but we needed to hit the road again.
Quick walk with the dogs then we hustled up to Lakeside RV Resort. ~300 Miles and 5.5 hours of traveling.

Provo, Utah

Lakeside had a nice Dog Park (Poo-pen, to poop in). Dewey (DooWee) doesn’t like to poop on the leash. When we first started traveling he would hold is bowels for multiple days. He has mostly gotten over it, however, he will still poop immediately if he is in a poo-pen. From Lakeside RV Resort we got on the road to Jefferson Lake State Park We made it in ~5 hours and 264 Miles. We encountered heavy rain most of the trek from Kolob to Idaho.
The drive from Jefferson Lake to Yellowstone West Gate KOA was ~90 Miles. Nice short drive. I immediately pulled the road bike down and went for a bike ride!
