The Grand Tetons

The Tetons were a joy to be in, leaving North Yellowstone we traveled through the park with Olive to The Grand Tetons. We were able to stay at two different campgrounds while we were in the Park.

Location Headwaters Lodge and Cabins

I was able to get awesome gravel riding in at this location. The path is on the great divide trail and I talked to many Great divide bike campers.

Location Colter Bay RV Park

Colter Bay

While staying in Colter bay we learned of a ranger talk at Oxbow Bend. Interpretive Ranger activities are some of our favorite things to do. We packed the dogs in the truck and headed out to view the sunset and engage with a Ranger. The talk was busy and nearly every question from patrons was about how and where to see wildlife. Between Yellowstone and the Tetons so far, I felt like I had seen wildlife en masse. The ranger had a scope setup for viewing the plains and island. Although we observed animals out on plains, I was most interested in watching the sunset and the scenery change. Ranger Talk Oxbow bend Sunset Over Snake River

We did have a mama bear and 3 cubs pass us in our campground. Dewey and Minny were very curious and I quickly launched them into Olive to prevent any type of confrontation.

Services

The Colterbay campground had a very nice laundry, we quickly got all the laundry and linens clean and were set for a few more days on the road.

Good starlink coverage at Headwaters Park, The coverage at Colter bay was impossible due to tree cover. We did have Verizon service as a backup.
