Southern Utah is HOT, happy we are northbound

The hustle across Utah

We have milestones to hit and places to be. We are hustling through Utah to land in Glacier National Park by September 1st. We stopped at a new RV park in St. George, the park was listed as a Harvest Host and charged us $30 for full hookups. It was great landing here with access to electricity as Utah was 100+ degrees.

Doowee and Minny had the opportunity to try their new shoes. The asphalt was too hot for puppy paws. Our last set of dog shoes lasted many years and were worn by many dogs that passed through our life. However the trip to Yosemite and hiking in the snow was the last trip the shoes would make. The dogs endured many days of tracing feet, ruler/tape measurements to get the new shoes ordered. In the end, the dogs were happy to have new shoes and the quality and fit appears good.

Notes

We stayed at Southern Utah RV Resort. The grounds were nice, walking trails and areas were limited, however it was a welcome stop with full hookups and great facilities. We would happily stay here again, hopefully when it’s cooler outside. We had local pizza which was OK.

Living in Santa Monica, I am always surprised when I see policing happening in other cities we visit. Nearly every street we saw a strong police presence (Monitoring traffic, responding to calls). Police presence where we live is lacking. I was really impressed with how quiet the RV park was, it was directly off the freeway, I expected traffic noise.
