I think about Bryce Canyon the most, standout amazing National Park

Bryce has the most aww inspiring vistas. Unlike other National Parks, when you approach a view point at Bryce, the crowd is quiet. I believe this phenomenon is due to overwhelming beauty and sensory overload the views induce. Bryce also feels the most dog friendly of all the National Parks, at least one trail exists along the rim. Driving and visiting all the vista points at Bryce is easy and rewarding. Parking and exploring is easy.

Location

My favorite story to tell about Bryce is the name sake. Ebenezer Bryce, was a serial homesteader with his wife Mary and twelve children. In all Ebenezer was able to homestead twelve locations, two of which hold his namesake: Bryce Canyon and Bryce, Arizona. In Pioneer times raising twelve children to adulthood while homesteading land for the Latter-day Saints (LDS) is quite the feat, especially in the early 1900s. Bryce lived 83 years and was born in Scottland, he converted to LDS when he was 18. Ebenezer is famous for saying “the canyon [Bryce] is a hell of a place to lose a cow”.

Dark Sky Park

While at Bryce we decided to do stargazing, in DarkSky parks it is easy to walk out at night and be impressed by the cosmos. Light pollution in our cities make it easy to forgot how amazing the night sky is. We had an amazing experience looking at nebulae, planets, star clusters, galaxies, local satellites, and the milky way. When returning to Bryce I will attend another presentation by Dark Rangers

Where we stayed

The RV Park with a dog wash Bryce Valley Ranch RV and Horse Park

This park was awesome, would also be great for large groups. Having a dog wash to get the dogs clean after a few weeks on the road was beneficial.
