Location
When we were visiting with a neighbor at Kolob Reservoir, they suggested to stop at Mount Charleston on our way back to Los Angeles. We stayed at Fletcher View campground, the site had power, with available potable water at a spigot a few campsites down. We carry a grey water tote, so we dumped water off a few times during this stay. I really like this campground, we noticed it was mostly occupied by locals. Conversations uncovered that many locals will park RVs, then come and shuffle them at the campsites so they can reserve spaces. Our neighbor in Santa Monica has a RV (Van lifer) and a home in Parump, We gave them a ring and they came to join us on the mountain. Last minute plans are the best plans. Bob made yummy salmon and I made Cacio e pepe. We enjoyed a few walks with the dogs and were able to catch up on all things camping/traveling.
The Fletcher View campground and surrounding areas was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps(CCC). Reading up on the CCC it seems like a bunch of good was done with a government program.
Starlink
Starlink worked well here. Normal Verizon service was not available.
