Location

Worked great. Depending upon location obstructions would exist. Having the flagpole was a requirement.

HTR Campground

We stayed at HTR campground. After seeing the other campgrounds we were very pleased we choose HTR. My first impressions were not great. The sites seemed really close together. The neighbor and I were parked very close together. With the sites being close, we ran into traffic inside the campground often. The creek running through the campground was nice, many children playing and adults and families were walking around. The community in the campground was bustling. Walks around the campground were short and we needed to a different place to walk. We found Perins Peak Wildlife area, our morning walks were enjoyed in the wildlife area. The cycling was great, many dirt and paved roads with minimal traffic. The climbing was tough due to elevation. My first impressions of the campground were negative. Due to traffic and the check-in process. However I warmed up to the site and the campground after a few days.

Serious Texas BBQ eat here I liked the BBQ. It was yummy, The counter was run by children, who were doing an awesome job. They were professional in a way I didn’t think children could be. I am worried I am getting old and might be categorizing young adults as children. Here is a picture. The professionals running the counter were better at customer service and delivery then most walk up counter service restaurants I have been to. Also, the line was out the door for the duration of time. Professionals
