Russian River Small towns, great beer, cycling, and camping

Location

The Thousand Trails Russian River has access to the river, wineries, cycling, hiking, and fun small towns. I had multiple days of amazing rides followed by walks with the dogs on the river. The vibe in the campground changed a few times from party to family. I think the location attracts all types. Our neighbors for the ~9days we stayed ranged from multi generation camp families who invited all their work friends to young people tubing the river with the help of intoxicating substances.

The dogs had a great time, walks on the river and into the forest in shaded areas they like.

Notes

Campers are weirdly territorial. The behavior ranges from pointing music at prospective campers, to establishing fencing around a campsite. My rules are to not enter a neighbors space without their permission even if we are conversing.

Starlink worked well here, however site selection is important as many sites are full shaded with limited sky view.

The RV park only supplies a central dump. Bring a Grey water tote.
