Life on the Sacramento River, has bugs.

Wonderful spot on the river

Location

Notes

The campground was on the Sacramento River. I feel that the camp ground was one of the best designed campgrounds I had been at. Sites were private, well maintained, and setup in a way that when neighbors were close they were not intrusive. Many mosquitoes were present in the evening hours, they could be kept away with common repellent.
We meet a neighbor that also had two Airedales, only one was traveling with him. He was fishing everyday and gave us fresh chinook salmon that he caught on hist daily fishing trips. The river had many annoying flying insects, most that were happy to bite me.

Cycling

Both bikes got used from this campsite (Gravel/Road). Enjoyed the BLM land along the river, I had a great time exploring the areas and the river banks. Redding has many trails for both road and gravel, the ride to Shasta Dam was a highlight.

Services

Chain gang bike shop I pre-ordered a new Enve fork for my gravel bike. They got it installed quick and were easy to work with.

Coffee

I stopped a few times for espresso at Theory Roasters Espresso was good, had multiple shots of the single origin and the blend. Both went down easy and were well prepared. I tried a few different roasts but was not blown away by anything. We did not buy any beans.

Worked great, no problems good visibility
