Location

Notes

Staying at this hip camp was awesome, we spent three nights. Our batteries were always full due to 15Amp power receptacle. The site was private and well secured. The dogs were able to be off leash. A couple of downsides:

  1. Earwigs
I would not be exaggerating by calling the amount of earwigs and infestation. Picking anything up off the ground caused hundreds of them to scatter. When I pulled the chocks for the trailer tires, clumps of the creatures fell off and scurried away, The ethernet cable on top of the trailer tire had clumps of them. We spend weeks shaking these little bugs from all of our outdoor gear.
  2. Foxtails
These little buggers are dangerous for dogs. Constant supervision of dogs is required when they are around them. Additionally, I need to pick them out of their paws on an hourly basis and check their noses for any sign.

Although the location is amazing, price good, and people are nice, we would not return to this hipcamp.

Services

The neighborhood was a awesome place to walk the dogs. Only a few miles outside the main city I often stop for espresso and people watching after a bike ride. The bike riding here is awesome as you can loop around many cities and enjoy rolling hills and open roads.

Worked great. No obstructions where we stayed

Hookups

This is a hipcamp that had 15Amp power and water. Dump was close at Cachuma Lake
