Hugo and Google Adsense, why I choose not to advertise

In short, I enabled Adsense. The process and approval was easy. IIRC I submitted the site to Google Adsense, supplied a few clicks on what genre of site I had, then Google crawled the site. From logs it appeared they walked the sitemap.xml. The approval for enabling ads took a day or so. I allowed Google to place ads anywhere on the site.

I ended up disabling Google Adsense. I was doing heavy development on the site and the ads were a hindrance to my browsing. I was less happy with full page pop overs. I would use Google Adsense again, however I am not currently trying to gain any revenue from the site.
