Fans
I want airflow to sleep. With this modification I install 2 fans that run on DC power
to move air. Improving sleep time.
I feel, cool flowing air is a requirement.
Fans make life enjoyable, they make you cool.
Goals:
- Direct air flow where needed
- Needs to run on DC power (Decrease reliance upon inverter)
- Aesthetically pleasing, quiet, and easy to clean
- Low power usage for use while off grid
The fan we decided upon is the Caframo Sirocco II

Quick assement on how to install
Determine how to mount fan base to upper cabinet
: 3M VHB dual sided tape is what I used. Still hanging after 25K miles over 2 years
Determine how to wire
: wiring directly to the 12v LED lights.
Find placement of fan
: placing behind the directional LED lights seems the best. Alignment is a bit challenging. Measuring a few times to find center lines was helpful
Wire gauge and routing
: 22AWG is quite small. Using Wago connectors I terminated the fan connections inside the upper cabinet.
I notched the light casing using a file to allow the 22AWG wire to exit at the back of the light.
